The ‘Publish to SharePoint Options’ dialog provides an overview of all configuration settings for the Publish to SharePoint command. A tab is displayed for each Inventor document type, showing the possible export formats. Using the checkmarks one or more export types can be toggled on by default.
Moreover, the dialog enables you to create a collection of SharePoint Document Libraries and a collection of Filenaming Schemes. Subsequently, these collections may be linked to the desired export types. The settings determine per Inventor document type to which SharePoint site is published and which filename is used. In addition to the document itself, properties from the Inventor document can be published to the SharePoint Library.
Frequently used export types are for example 'PDF' for drawings, ‘Flat Pattern DXF’ for Sheet Metal parts or a ‘Pack and Go’, that generates a zip-file in which all files required to open a certain assembly or drawing are collected. The latter is particularly useful to open files on an external computer.
The ‘Export Type’ column shows which export types will be created during publishing.
After a certain export type is checked, the 'Settings' button located behind can be used to modify the available export settings. Generally the same options are available as for a manual export.
In the Filenaming Scheme column a scheme can be selected that determines the file name of the export document. The default scheme is ‘Filename.Extension’. For a Part named Sample.ipt, this would result in: Sample.ipt.dwfx
In the ‘Publish Location’ column can be chosen from one of the available SharePoint Document Libraries in the dropdown list. This way it can be determined to which library the export type will be saved. After adding files to the 'Publish' section, the Publish to SharePoint command always allows to override the default configuration.
